When
will “Normal People” be shown in my area?
We are currently working to finalize
new dates for our film tour. Unfortunately, some cities,
including Seattle and Canadian territories were changed
by Autism Today collaborators. The Autism Perspective
Tour is being reworked to include those cities and many
more. We will post updates to our website as soon as
they are available!
Can you come to my area for a screening?
As you can imagine, we cannot possibly
go to every town to premier our film - we'd love to,
but it is impossible and costly.
We are able to appear in cities around the world only
with the support of the community, organizations; sponsorship,
and paid presentations. If you are an not-for-profit
organization, or a k-12 school district interested in
having us appear in person for a special screening of
the film and a “Meet the Filmmakers Q&A” click
here.
Paid presentations for all other groups, universities/colleges,
and businesses are based upon individual requests. Please
contact us for more information.
Where does the money from screenings
go?
Portions of proceeds from door ticket
sales all around the world go to various organizations
I support. I run the New Hearts N' Arts-to-Work Scholarship
program/column in the Autism Perspective Magazine. For
more information about my non-profit work, look at the
following: www.theautismperspective.org, www.artistsforautism.org and
my start-up organization now run by those who made it
happen with me from the beginning, www.pause4kids.org.
Those are my personal charitable contributions.
Can I rent/preview the film?
At this point it is only available for
sale.
You can ask your local library to order it. Often they
do this when asked.
Can I buy a soundtrack for the film?
We are putting together a soundtrack,
but it will be awhile before we can gather all the material
and put it together properly. In the meantime, Susan
Sheller (singer of “Julian” from the film)
should have a CD available on our website in late June.
Check back with us. We’ll post the soundtrack on
our website as soon as it’s available!
How can I help/become involved with Normal
Films?
Thanks for your interest in our work.
This film is a wonderful vehicle for Circle of Friends;
how to discuss autism with a child on the spectrum, parent
forums, teacher education, etc., etc.
The best way to help our cause is to
spread the word about our film and show it to others.
It offers a rarely-seen glimpse into the lives of those
often dismissed by “normal people.”
If you are in the Southern California
area and would like to become involved in future projects,
contact us and we’ll let you know how you can
become involved!
We will let you know soon about how
you can submit art, music, and films if you are an individual
with a disability. These works will be considered for
inclusion in our upcoming film projects. |
